This outstanding vintage 9-patch quilt was just perfect to honor Mary Todd Lincoln. The time period of the quilt and the time that she spent as first lady were parallel for sure. The simplicity of the quilt makes it even more ideal for this tribute. Simple piecing means you’ll enjoy your work without any stressful patchwork. I also love the ‘quirky’ borders, adding the top and bottom first, and all three layers at once. It creates a frame of sorts around the quilt. Feel free to alter this design to suit your very own quilt. The quilting on this is exceptional and the plain squares do leave space for your favorite machine or hand quilting.

Mary Todd Lincoln looks inviting
My friend's daughter got engaged the day after my Kaye's order came, so...thinking, need to make a wedding quilt. Decided not to make a double wedding ring (been there, done that 4-5 times) so...a Kaye scrap Mary Todd quilt will be the wedding quilt. can't wait to start cutting from my scrap bag!

Beautiful photo
After seeing the photo of this beautiful Mary Todd Lincoln quilt, I knew I just had to make it. Wish I had time to make ALL the Voices of the Past quilts!
