This beautiful on-point setting shares the pieced block with an alternate block using a scenic fabric. You could use any style of fabric in this position, even a floral. I like the graphic look of the dark patches and again you have a choice as to having them run east and west as I did, or north and south (just tilt your head and you can see this).

Of all the women I have researched, Harriet Tubman stands out to be one of my favorites. This would also be a wonderful quilt to enjoy hand quilting using the Harriet Tubman stencils.
